    Not only does Trudeau somehow fail to even use the word Métis in the tweet, his full statement itself mentions his fight for the Métis as an “in addition” afterthought, and there is no acknowledgement of Canada hanging him for that fight.
    Louis Riel was not a champion of Canada. He was a champion of the Métis Nation, and Canada killed him for it.
